Fighting fit academy kick boxing was founded in 2004 by Richard Philips, 2nd Dan in Kick Boxing and 1st degree black sash in Kung Fu.
The academy is a friendly environment where people of all ages and abilities are welcome. We operate an open door policy and have several lessons in Northamptonshire that cater for all abilities, from beginners lessons to more advanced and challenging squad training sessions for those wishing to push themselves that little bit further.
The academy has grown into an organisation that is not only nationally, but also internationally recognised in competitive circles. The academy is not only about creating champions, it is a warm, friendly, family orientated environment that makes for a great past time.
We are a Freestyle Kickboxing Organisation. The Academy is affiliated with the World Association Kickboxing Organisation (WAKO). The style of the syllabus is based upon the wisdom of Kung Fu, the skill of Boxing, mixed with the power of Karate.
The academy boasts a number of students from different walks of life. We have parents and their children training together, as well as international and British kick boxing champions. Students of all abilities train in a disciplined and safe environment allowing them to grow in confidence and self esteem.
Whether you are interested in improving your fitness levels or participate in tournaments, just try out a new sport or broaden your social circle and improve your self confidence, fighting fit academy is the place for you.

Classes are £4.00 for Adults and £3.00 for Juniors (Family rates are available).
If you would like to become a member of the fighting fit academy there is an additional one off membership payment of £50 for Adults and £40 for Juniors (Under 16 years).
Membership entitles you to the following:
- 1 years licence
- A free uniform
- A copy of the fighting fit academy grading syllabus
- Ability to participate in sparring
