Leanne’s journey

One step at a time, one pound at a time…. back in September 2017 I had a tough journey in front of me, with a 10year old a 17month year old boy and very lucky to have a 5month year old girl, I weighed in at 14st 4lbs at home. I needed to lose the baby weight but knew with the busy mummy life I lead and with the special needs that Elsie has it would be a massive struggle, I used to be that girl down the gym twice a week thinking I was working hard and doing the right exercises.

I joined fighting fit academy later on that year and that is where my life, attitude, my family life and my mental belief has changed for the best. I was asked if my weight could go up on the board and track this every Saturday, my first weigh in was 13st 3 Richard Philips and Lisa helped me smile again in class and out, back in January 2018 I couldn’t even do one military burpee, Richard used to say to me “take it easy on those knees leanne” and now I am pushing my body to its maximum and coping with these well with lots of new exercises that the guys given me and always setting new challenges, on March the 7th of the same year I had lost my first stone to get down to 12st 3lbs, I felt amazing, strong and ready even more to go for my next stone. I also joined a new class with Richard and decided to start kickboxing and work through my belts and graded to received my first belt later that summer. Then on June the 9th and smashed my next stone to get down to 11st 2 just before I was due to fly to Greece with my family, wow I remember all the congratulations and it took me right back to the start and how I have worked so hard with my fitness family to feel like this. I felt sexy again, I had time for my family and I smiled a lot.
